BACKGROUND
Hailee was born in California and has an older brother, Griffin, an off-road racer. Neither of the starlet’s parents are in the film industry (her mother is an interior designer and her father a personal trainer), but from the age of eight, Hailee knew she wanted to act.

Though her folks were supportive, her mom insisted she study the craft for at least a year first. Twelve months later, Hailee had landed an agent. Now the tween acting sensation is set to star in the latest adaptation of Romeo and Juliet alongside British hottie Douglas Booth. Hailee was also named as the face of designer brand Miu Miu. All this before her 16th birthday!

BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW…
While filming the movie True Grit with A-listers such as Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges, Hailee (who was just 13 at the time), created a ‘swear jar’. Every time a cast or crew member swore, they’d have to cough up five dollars! But it worked both ways: she  was fined every time she said the word ‘like’.
